Hey i have the Greddy type RS BOV and i need to know how to relocate my MAF and where can i get the relocation kit....thanks to anyone who helps

I know of one company that sells the kit but I wouldn't rather not say their name on the forum. But, it's not hard, you can make your own kit. You just need a couple of couplers, some clamps and that's it. You have to cut your cold pipe(intercooler to throttle body) and mount the MAF sensor there with the couplers and clamps. I am not sure of the distances from the sensor to the throttle body and the sensor from the BOV. Here is a pic of one relocated setup...

First off what set-up are you/ plan to run?? I think the ideal set up places the BOV on the hot pipe and MAF on the cold pipe. That way the turbulance isn't a factor and your not venting already chilled air.

I'm trying to relocate it so i can run my fmic and use my greddy type rs bov.......also SPICED MSP can you pm me the name of the company that would be greatly appreciated

Wow.. how lame is this scenario. A member needs help and we can't help him because we can't talk about certain vendors. Am I the only one who thinks these vendor censorship rules are crap?

Anyway, you can get what you need to relocate your MAF just about anywhere. It's just two silicone couplers and 4 t-clamps. You cut the cold pipe about 12" or so away from the throttle body and insert the MAF using couplers. Just make sure that the MAF is placed AFTER the BOV and not too close to the BOV or throttle body. You don't want unwanted air turbulence around it.

Yes the Censorship is childish at best. Forum Gestapo.... Hilarious.

Guys, they are NOT allowed to be said for REASONS, get over it please. And for relocation MAF's you DO NOT need a vender, you just need couplers and Tbolts, saying you need a banned vender for it is stupid when you can get the parts all over the place.

i already have a fmic i bought it off ebay, all i need is hard pipe to run fmic and for maf....any suggestions or is that the site for both?

Well you have hardpipes then, you need to cut a section 6-12" away from the intake and 6-12" from the bov/bpv. Cut it large enough to perfectly fit the MAF. Then measure your hardpipes and get a coupler for the pipe to maf (you will need two of them one for each side of the maf) and get te correct Tbolts and it should all go on easily from there.

Just my 2 cents worth. There is no need to relocate MAF unless you run a BOV, but why have a BOV? Hey, let's vent boost and get a cool sound, instead of dumping it back into the intake just like the only thing mazda did right on our cars. I ran stock BPV till it went bad, and then I bought the forge BPV. Only true need for a BOV is when you are running very high boost (which is stupid to do on our cars anyhow)

well then in that case could i still run a fmic with the forged bpv? because i can sell my bov i have to do this set up if it works well? whats your setup above poster? Also how much is the BPV and does it make any sounds?

You can run either the Forge BPV of your GReddy RS BOV.. whichever one you like. Most of us will tell you to run a BPV or recirculate your BOV so it functions like a BPV, but in the end it's your car and it's up to you to choose.

Also how much is the BPV and does it make any sounds?

See you're doing this all wrong bud. You're going through all this work just so you can hear a pssst sound when you let off the gas, instead of doing it to improve over the factory setup. And you want it done cheap. We all love saving money as none of us have that much of it (that's why we drive Proteges..) but often times it's better to leave the car stock than throw on whatever you can afford. Save your money, do it right the first time.

BPVs will make a sound, but it's not as loud as when you vent to atmosphere with a BOV. Do some searching on YouTube and you'll find all sorts of examples of all different setups available.

I have a FMIC w/injen CAI. I use the forge BPV and it definitely makes a sound. People are kind of used to the sound of a BOV by now, but i still give people whiplash when i'm on it and shift
As you can see in the pics, I had my MAF relocated (never ran a BOV though) I switched it back after i blew a hole through my MAF sensor when my stock BPV went bad. MAF is not designed to be under boost

3rd pic is one of my orginal MAF(with hole in it) and new one behind it
