Relocating Amp And Other Questions

Well, you did give us a $3000 budget. What were you planning to spend all that cash on if you bought $100 coaxials?

JL Audio 8w3 $119.95
JL Audio 500/5 $799.95
Polk SR6500 $899.95
Alpine IVA-W200 $1100
Total: $2820 + installation

Ok, so it runs pretty close to your limit if we add a set of rear speakers but it will sound absolutely amazing. Plus, the prices listed are MSRP. You can get all of these components for much less (especially if you have a connection).

Ohh, Well Yeah Most Of That Stuff I Can Get For Alot Less Than The Msrp.
For Example The Jl 8w3 I Got Quoted $65 And The Kenwood Ddx-7017 Was Only $750. So I'm Sure I Could Save A Few Hundred Off The Listed Prices.

Which In The Long Run Isn't All That Bad.

Will That Polk Componenet Set Fit Up Front? Or Would I Have To Get Adapters Built?

Unless You Guys Are Figuring A Full Custom Enclosure Setup.

You'll have to build baffles for the front speakers. The opening is for a 6x8. You can make them out of 1/4" or 1/2" MDF. It's pretty simple.

THere are very few 6x8 components to choose from out there so most likely you'll have to do this no matter what speakers you select.

What About The Jl 5x7 Components Or Should I Keep The Speakers Round To Keep The Sound Waves Uniform With Less Distortion?

Well Got My New Sub And It Sounds Nice.... But I Have A Big Problem! The Enclosure Is Rattling And It Makes The It Sound Liek The Sub Is Blown. I Know Its The Rear Enclosure Because When I Hold The Enclosure Tight To The Car It Sounds Clear As Day. I Checked All The Bolts That Hold The Unit In Place And They Are All Secured And Tight But There Is Enough Flex To Vibrate And Rattle.

Is There Anyone Here That Has Experienced This And Fixed The Problem? Should I Just Put A Rubber Surround On The Whole Unit And Tighten It Down Again?

Btw Those Are B-e-a-u-tiful Components... I'm Going To Look Into Getting Those. The Only Problem I Found Is That All My Friends Can't Even Get Them, So I'll Have To Find A Source For Them.
