recommendations for first mods

Does anyone have an idea when Injen is comming out with their intake? Would you put and intake on before exhaust?
 
from what i read on another post they actual said that making the exhaust bigger showed no performance gains.. go figure.. id start with a turbo timer -=)
 
yeah i was thinking about that also. Turbo timer and boost controller would definitly make it faster.
 
turbo timer also helps protect your engine for the long haul.. form what i understand after normal driving you should let the car idle for 30 seconds to cool off and with aggressive driving i believe it is one minute.. maybe linux or spoolin could give you more infor about this. -=)

my friends told me that I should let the car warm up and cool of for a minute before and after i drive it.
 
but doesnt the turbo timer help keep the turbo in tip top shape? because cant u actually lose performance from shutting the motor off after a long hard day of driving? so technically over time you would see a diff from a car with a tubo timer and a car without? you just wouldnt see the diff up front correct?
 
mypfizzle is right, it does help keep your turbo in good shape, but you don`t have to have a turbo timer to do this. Proper warm up and cool down is crutial if you want your turbo ( not so much the motor ) to last

yeah i guess, but you guys make it sound like adding a turbo timer will give you a 10HP increase.

if only it would.. :D

Get exhaust!!! I have a boost controller and I need exhaust. We went over this about the 2.5 inch vs 3 Inch. Go with 3 inch. They were talking about GTI using 2.5 and having more horsepower. It's a 1.8 and totally different motor. we have 2L. Difference, yes (sorry bout the off topic)

Get 3 inch turbo back: 3 inch downpipe, 3 inch testpipes, 3 inch to the muffler, 3 inch muffler!

Intake will be pretty nice but ours is actully quiet efficent by the looks of it (it can always get better, dont get me wrong!)

all i was doing was refering to this..
"I just spoke with a rep from Injen about my MSP.
He says the intake adds 6-8.
He also said that they did put on a 3 inch exaust but it didnt add or take away any power.
On another note , they arent sure they are going to start to expirement with a Intercooler change , because it is a limited production car."

so i dont see how crack is involved.
maybe u could inform me -=)
