Recall for speeds

If you are spiking to 20psi you have a problem with your car..thats not normal even if you are loading the engine with boost at low rpms..

wrong! everyone with the mazdaspeed cia has this issue, if you have cp-e intake its less cuase they did a good job on ther maf housing

everyone with this car has the issue, because it's got a turbo that loads up boost as you push the gas and if your rpm's are too low that boost isn't being fully used so you get spikes. I would like you to define what "less" is and how they did a good job on their maf housing while the MS CAI didnt.....I call b/s you dont know what you are talking about dont post opinions just facts

I've had my MS CAI on since new and it never spiked to 20psi nor has ever fuel cut. Full of s***.

Whats wrong with opinions? I have lots of them lying around the house and they are perfectly safe. I did not see cut till exhaust install. The ETS 3.5 caused no issue and was on the car before exhaust. I have Forge with stiffer tubes and now hold boost. Definitely do not ask the motor to respond to heavy throttle at low rpm in the long gears that is not good for any car. But especially from a six gear than runs out to 155. No offense. Still needs a tuning though

Wrong!! lol

I have a ms cai and Ive had it for over a year and I never seen it spike past 17psi..But you spike to 20psi with your cpe intake.. Go do the math and figure out who has the intake with issues..Or are you saying your cpe is so awsome that you would be spiking to 25psi but it keeps it down to 20psi?You cant sit there and say that cpe made such a great intake since it dont spike like our crappy ms cai when you spike to 20psi...LOL
I may be able to get mine to spike if Im in 5th or 6th gear and at about 2k rpms and I go wot but why would I do that..

To be honest Im not so sure that the intake has all that much to do with the spikes.Im sure exhaust plays a part and boost leaks or after market intercoolers..I have the stock exhaust and intercooler tho.

ericrapp: theres nothing wrong with opinoins but if someone makes a statement they need to justify what they said instead of just saying it with no evidence or details. I have learned alot from opinoins and bought many things based on others opinoins so I have no problem with them.

WRONG!!

Joking LOL

It doesn't do it all the time though. Only about 4 times the whole time I've had my ms3. And I don't put the pedal to the floor when doing this. I don't think it spiking or hitting fuel cut.

you don't know what your talking about..they made there MAF housing smaller to account for the extra air..resulting in less spike i have witnessed this first hand. use your brain before you post..lol

i dont have the cp-e inatke... most people with the mazdaspeed cia get a 19-20psi spike flooring it at 27k in 5th -6th gear

dude if you belive that.... ive have some land in bfe to sell u ..lol

Lugging any car in the long gears will cause knock. Computers nowadays move the timing. Our car is unable to correct it with mods or not, whatever. But knocking or detonation are words never to be associated with compressed air systems (read Turbos here). If you have this you need to resolve it. It is a bad thing I do not care who you are. I am not actually trying to be a smartass here. I just worry about rod bearings and such.
