Rebuild t25

I'm runnin the gt28rs with stock internals at 14.5psi with absolutely no problems wit the 1st Gen mam ss kit so it can be done lol but I won't go any higher wit out forgin next..... But I say go with the gt28rs cuz your gonna want it eventually anyways so might as well and I think your engine can hold 10-12psi with no prob that's what I drive daily

So my i think my turbo blew. no more boost, only vac on my boost gauge. no BOV noise or spool up noise... is it safe to drive still? how can i make sure that it's actually busted?

I'm willing to bet one of your boost pipes just got disconnected instead. Check the pipes to and from your intercooler..

Let us know when a rod is sticking out of your block. Just because something doesn't break immediately doesn't mean it's a smart idea. If you're running 15 psi on the gt28rs, that's around 20psi for a gt25. Lol, I can't lie...I kind of hope you break your car.

Lol well its been driven like this well over a year at that psi and there are absolutely no problems or hesitation in car but I hope I break it to just another excuse to build it up

The only time this engine has ever been driven lower the 10psi was bout two years ago when the kit was still new

i've had my intercooler piping blow off before, all that happens is the car stalls out. i checked it all out and the piping is fine. it just feels like a naturally aspirated car now... saddening. is it still safe to drive thou?

whats considered low boost? 6-9psi? my mods are in my sig.
With a good tune on that split second you should be able to run 10 psi "safely" on GT28rs

There are a few of you guys running that much boost 0with the Gt28RS on non-forged motors I'm too ******* scared to do that. I think there is even one member running that on the stock ECU and no EMS, and he's been running it for years. Talk about more Bals then Me!!!

When my Hot pipe popped off it did the same thing but it hit the radiator putting a huge hole. I called Ken at PG freaking out thinking my new turbo was blown we started setting up to send it in and when I went out to start removing it I realized the coupler right at the turbo had blown off and struck the radiator which caused the hole then seated itself back on the turbo just enough that I couldn't tell it was loose, I had no boost. So recheck all your couplers and make sure they are in fact on all the way

I found that the the piping popped off right at the beginning of the coldpipe, right after the intercooler. i didn't see it b4 because the coupler is behind the bumper. now i just have to reattach it but it's raining in florida for the 5th straight day...

I totally freaked when it happened to me. First thing I did was call Ken at PG all anxious and s***, like a little school girl!!! LOL

I work at a turbo dealer. Don't try to rebuild your turbo by yourself ever! sure you may be able to get it back together and have it make boost but without balancing equipment, measurement tools and a specific tech sheet with all clearance specs, your just asking for premature failure and possibly other problems! We charge 640 canadian and that gets you bead blasted housings, millwright assembly and... Oh wait! A warranty! Why go any other way!
