So i think my turbo is leaking oil into my intercooler piping and my buddy told me that the seals might be leaking. i was wondering if this repair kit would be adequate for rebuilding the stock turbo

And if thats not right kit can some point me in the right direction? im not looking at replacing the whole turbo with, say, the gt28rs *drool*. any input would be appreciated.

Change out the PCV valve first sometimes that's the cause and check your lower oil return line for kinks as well

I just installed the millenia PCV valve yesterday and can't check my lower oil line (its supposed to rain in florida for the next 3 days) so i have to wait on that.

Remember the MSP turbo (GT2554) is a dual ball-bearing unit. Therefore cannot be re-built. You need to change the CHRA. You need a Garrett dealer to do that. Or buy a new one or do the up-grade.

You're sure the stock turbo is dual ball-bearing? I always tought they were not...

yes the stock MSP turbo is dual BB

Yes, it most certainly is. GT25R (GT2554) dual ball bearing.

X3 dual ball-bearing un-rebuildable unless you send it to MPnick. We tryed sending my extra one to another shop that does the T25-to Gt28RS conversion but they could not do it on my turbo.

yea im probably gonna just go for the gt28rs and call it a day in the near future. but i dont have internals so idk how that will work with stock FS engine

I'm running a GT28RS without internal and stock EMS. only running 6 PSI and it pulls way harder then the T25 ever did. I even ran the GT28Rs with stock pastic pipes and stock exhaust for little bit, I would recommend that though cause you could tell the turbo was starving to breath better

unless you're going to build the bottom end, I'd stick with a gt25. Plenty of power to hurt these motors and trannys. With full bolt ons, good tune and 10-12 psi. You should be happy. Just my .02c. A gt28rs is tempting I'm sure, but you need a lot of self control so you don't say to yourself "Hey, I wonder what 15psi is like"....*boom*.
