Did a search and could not find anything conclusive.
Any one had the dealership fix this using anything other than the doublesided tape?
I read that the was an alternative "clip" method but has anyone had this done?
Thanks in advance!

I never heard of the clip method but one of the techs at my dealership suggested I go to a bodyshop get it "molded" onto the car. It would basically make the lip, sideskirts, and rear a permanent addition with no seams whatsoever. I decided it wasn't worth the price.

Mine falls off every winter from the weight of the snow when it gets all in my bumper. The tape is all exposed and it looks like crappy ricer bodykit s***.

how much does getting it molded cost...cause it's pissing me off seing the gaps and the uneven bits here and there

I'll find out how much they would have charged me for it.

molding is very expensive and not very wise on a street car. Very prone to cracking from vibration. You really only see molded body parts on show cars beacuse of this.

its a factory defect, should be covered under warranty, i'm expecting mine to get fixed at the dealership at least, even if they do just double sided tape it again :p...

I've had several trips to the dealer just for this. The seperation of lips from the bumper is ridiculus. They even replaced the front and rear lip under warranty but now they are starting to seperate again.

I'm sure their plan is to half-ass fix problems like this until our warranties are up. I have my bumper was fixed before and is sagging again just as bad. If they just re-tape it, I will make sure they know I will be back soon. I will milk every last ******* bit of warranty I can out of this car. This car is like having a disabled kid...you really love it and it's special, but you are always taking it to the doctor, and explaining it's actions to other people.

drill some holes and use some expanding plastic clips? like how the sideskirts are installed?
