Rear bumper guard installed

2011 Mazda 2 Touring
With my dog jumping in and out of the back I wanted to protect the rear bumper so I installed the Mazda rear bumper guard. It was an easy, 5 minute install.

I have one of these too! I may have dropped a plastic beach chair on the rear bumper leaving a small mark the day I bought mine. You wouldn't know this unless you pulled up the guard though, heh heh.

I like it so far, simple/cheap protection and works pretty well it seems.

How did this install? Was it just a peel-off adhesive strip?

Yeah, there are several pre-cut 3M double-stick tape strips applied to the backside. They're strong, so no worries about the guard ever coming off. I love mine. And yes, the insert in it is real metal (not painted plastic).
