RB Catback and Kartboy hangers

I've decided that I'm going to get the Racing Beat cat-back exhaust for my PR5, and I'd like to do the install myself. For those of you who have done the install, how necessary are the Kartboy hangers? The cost is not a big issue. I just need to know if I should get them. Thanks.

Ditto... I used the stock mounts and don't have any issues.

Clearance is OK>>

You definately want a freind to help out and hold the exhaust while you bolt it up. i did mine using just ramps and it was abit tight under the car so having a freind there to give a hand was a bonus. the hardest parts was getting the old muffler off the hangers(definately get some silicone, i had very little). Just use the stock hangers/mount unless you really want to spend the money on something that isn't nescessary. It sounds great!!!!! and looks great too!!!

Here's the diff between kartboy and stock: stiffness. Kartboy are urethane and stock are rubber and if Mazda's stock hangers are anything like Subaru's, you may as well hang the muffler with a bungie cord. Crossing railroad tracks, my muffler used to bang into my car. Now, it doesn't budge. Just depends on if you want dents in your exhaust, I guess.

Quick question: are there any clearance issuses with the RB catback and the Kartboy hangers? I've heard stories of other exhausts melting bumpers.

I have a question as well: has anyone had issues with the stock hangers coming apart after a winter with the RB cat-back on?

I'm using the stock hangers. have had no issues with them. if the RB is heavier it isnt by much. the clearance w/ the stock hangers is fine. as far as i know the muffler has never shifted and hit the bumper. it is always in the same place when i look at it....it does look cool.

The RB catback (Muffler and intermediate pipe) weighs 5 lbs. more than stock but it is stainless and the piping is thicker (= better) than the OEM pcs.
