Rat poop!!!

Ok here's an update on the Rat. He hasn't showed up and no poops in the engine yet. I'm still waiting! Maybe he went to another car.

Oh I also looked in my airbox and no signs of a rat being in there.

Hmm.. Well at least you know that you dont have an extra passenger riding around with you all the time.

I have had the mice eat the bait of the trap too, but lots of them do fall for it on a pretty regular basis... Its worth a shot! Good luck!

Ok I'm trying to get this freakin' Rat off my engine. My car is parked outside everynight a few feet away from the trash can and "Ratatouille" loves to have his dinner in my engine bay where it is warm. When he is done he leaves poops in there. I want to place a mouse trap but not sure how big this thing is, by the size of those poops it must be a big one. Any suggestions or has anyone had this problem?

Go get the .308 out of the closet, put one round in the chamber and wait that little bastard out. Repeat to yourself "one shot, one kill", get that mother f@#%er in your sights and exterminate that prick with extreme prejudice.

we're still goin on about this rat poop thing? lol, let's see how long we can go with this one!

Not until I catch this damm Rat. Tonight I noticed my driver's side headlights flickering, I know the bulbs can't be burning out already I just replaced those. I opened the hood, push in the connector nothing, shook the wires behind the connector light comes back on then off again, shook it a little bit more then it stayed on. Man I hope this freakin rat didn't chew on my headlight wires. That's it forget the mouse traps and all that crap, time to bring out the 12 gauge shot gun. Now I'm really pissed!(pissed)

Like I said, sticky trap will get them, but you'll have to do the following
1) clean up a bunch of crap left behind
2) dispose of the dead (or live) rat
3) clean up more crap on your engine.

Have you cleaned the area by your trash cans and secured the lids tightly?

I would get a small live trap from Tractor Supply or something and bait it.

10/22 and some patience???

Unles you gore it, a 10/22 might not do the trick. It would depend on if it is the size of some of the rats I have seen. I'm just sayin, my .308 would blast that f@cker into ablivion.

I think a .22lr would have no prob taking down a rat.

The .308 would do it no doubt, but scare the s*** out of the neighbors, lol.

the rat has been reading this thread so he new to go to another car for a while...lol(rlaugh)

so have you seen this "rat" or are you just assuming it's a rat? I only ask because I owned a couple of rats as pets an their poop didn't look like that. They have round pellet poop like rabbits, not so much oval. Also, it'd be really hard for a rat to climb that far up into the engine. If I were you, I'd be thinking bigger......
