Random newbie questions

ok I just bought a 03 protege5 with 205k on it, I know I need to do the timing belt just because I don't have record of when it was done. Anything else like that I should be aware of?

Where is a good place to get interior trim pieces, dealer I'm assuming?

Also what is good muffler to get, i don't want a cat back because I just had all that piping replaced except for the muffler section, for sure wanting a quiet one if not OEM replacement.

Was keyless entry std on these? I do have power locks

Also what seems to be the biggest bang for your buck as far as engine mods go for these? already have short ram intake and the 2nd cat removed. do wanna stay legal. Underdrive pulley/pulleys maybe?

might want to check engine mounts they are usually all torn on higher mileage p5's. If your idle likes to skip up and down there's a good chance your EGR valve will need to be cleaned.

For interior pieces you should definitely check the for sale section on this forum or a local junk yard, the stealership will be VERY pricey.

As for a muffler, you may want to look into the Mazdaspeed Protege5 axleback exhaust, it gives a nice tone but isn't loud at all.

yes keyless entry was standard on all p5's, you can pick up a fob on ebay or at the dealership. there is also a reprogramming thread somewhere on here.

best bang for your buck mod would probably be the mp3 ecu reflash, header, or a VTCS removal and a port and polish on your intake manifold
