Ram Air How Much Money? How much more HP?

I would like to get some more power outa my Pro5, and was wondering if anyone knows how much more power (HP) i can get outa my Pro5 if i put Ram air in it. And how much would it cost to get it.? Thanx

Define "Ram Air" here. I work with a guy who has "ram air" in his Grand Am, which amounts to little more than cut holes in the hood and really thin plastic intakes to the airbox. In all honesty it doesn't do beans for his performance. What kind of ram air are you talking about?

Maybe he's referring to something like an AEM Short Ram intake?

If you are referring to the short ram, or CAI (cold air) dont try and believe people when they tell you it adss 10 tp 15 horse. Just like a guy I know who thinks K&N DOES add 15 HP. Anyway, one of the above will give you better throttle response, but as for whp, i dont know... i thnk someone posted a dyno here before about it.... just try a search

Also, I have seen a picture of someone selling a carbon fibre hood with a scoop that likns to a short ram... ths might be what you are looking for. Hopefully someone here knows what i am trying to say and know the company.... i cant remember.

the second one is a dyno run... with a CAI they got about 5 more horse and tourque... most likely the same if they would have used a short ram.. give or take a horse for each.. but anyway, make sure you read up... because even some of the short rams with bigger intake pipe (3in vs 2.5 in for the CAI) are rubbing on brake cylinders, so you might have to 'play' with it.
