Rally Chicago to MPLS- Get together at MOA- who's interested? 5-14-05

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!!

I've invited a ton of Mazda's: about 20 MSP's, a few Mazda3/6's, a ton of P5's and Proteges, about 10 RX7's, about 5 RX8's, a bunch of MX3/6's and a few Miata's. I'm thinking about 35 cars are CONFERMED that they are GOING FOR SURE!!! With one week to go...this should be excellent!

I've also talked to "Players" night club, they are all ages and open LATE, and they are looking into cutting us some food/drink specials which would be nice. I'm starting to PM people and get everyone marking their calanders. I can't wait!

I'll be there a little before 7PM and the Rally crew is looking into getting in earlier than they said before around 8pm!

As for when we're getting in, we still have not confirmed starting time. So we might still be in around 8-10.

We racers are planning on ending the rally at the Super8 in Bloomington. From there, we'll all head to the MOA.

Damn. I am so excited. This is going to be the best weekend in the history of EVAR. Thursday-Late start day. Friday-Senior Skip Day Friday Night-Prom. Saturday-This. Saturday night-Camping with a bunch of friends until monday.

My LSD just went BOOM yesterday so I'm a little stressed out at the moment, but it's OK. I'm getting it fixed (don't know when), but my loaner is a Mazda Tribute so I'm still representin'.

I don't know anything new. So as last response "as long as people aren't running around making a scene everything should be fine". I will either head over to the mall or make some last minute phone calls to see if anything else comes up. But as of now parking is still the same TOP FLOOR WEST RAMP. I'll be there by 7pm tan Tribute or Laserblue.

warranty covers it thank god. They told me if it was the clutch that it would be $1050 to fix and MIGHT not be under warranty. I'm at 33.5K now so this came as a surprise as I'm stock engine still! 85% sure that it will be good to go by this weekend...we'll see.

that's good. Was it the revised LSD or the original? If it was the original beware the revised - I've read it doesn't kick in as soon as it does in the original, leading to more wheel hop issues.

When you get the LSD replaced, you might want to consider taking it someplace to have it welded so it'll be stronger.

I am also real excited... But as of right now I might not have the car finished. I am waiting on the Front Bumper to get painted... They were supposed to have it done Monday, then Tuesday.... And so on... Now they say it will be done forsure by tomorrow.... We will see......

Just make sure it isn't a crap job. More important they take their time and do it right. Once you've ensured it's not a crap job, demand a discount.
