I'm really looking forward to this. I've been talkin to some friends too, some might be goin with me.

So, could us MN people meet up like before 8? like around 6pm-7pm or something? I want to check out cars while it's light out!

I was driving around lake calhoun, and up at a stopsign, I saw 3 other 1st gen pro's with tropic emerald metallic... it was the wierdest thing. I should start tagging cars with this link.

Oh, and we need a ribbon set up marathon style across the entrance, for the winner to drive through and break it.

Do you think we should set up like a meet marketplace? I'm sure people have stuff they want to unload, and maybe we should start a thread of what's all available?

May I suggest the Finish line be the MOA West parking garage TOP floor (highest you can go on the WEST garage) that's where we've met when we get together and it works. (there are 2 parking garages east/west pretty easy to figure out your way)

Lets start gathering around 7pm, as the ralliers will be getting in around 8ish I assume, that gives them 8 hours drive time, which should be more than enough even taking back roads. I'm going to the mall today to talk to security about letting us use the roof level. I will report back!!!

I passed an orange 11am Saturday Hwy 94 St Paul. I was going East, orange going west.

We can't do the race, but we will be at MOA. Did that go good with the request for the ramp?

I've been talking to the event promoter for the 4th floor and they will have some deals for us...I don't know what that means yet, but the girl who runs things is very nice.

AS FOR THE PARKING POLICE...the supervisor of parking is freaking out about us having people run around in the lot. I've tried to explain that it would be nice to just open up the roof and we could do our thing there undisturbed. The mall is pretty much closed for the evening at 8pm except for the 4th floor which is all the way at the other side (so everyone parks on that side) meaning that the WEST ramp should be pretty open. He doesn't want us running around outside of our cars. I explained that people are coming from Illinois and that they are going to be checking out the cars. He has not responded to my last phone call on Friday yet. He will be working on sight that night, so he'll be able to help us get situated. I don't believe we will have any major issues with security (as we've done these meets twice before at the mall), but we do need to be polite and park whereever they want us to go. He said that we may have to park in overflow, which would be fine. I'll keep you all posted and I will be there by 7pm to direct traffic and talk to security or whoever.

Thanks for all the time you're putting in here! He can rest assured that the vast majority of us have been at meets before and we do not run around the place, in or out of our cars .

The starting point for the rally is The Brat Stop in Kenosha, WI.
The ending point for the rally is the hotel not the Mall of America. Once all contestants arrive we can meet the others as a group.

The starting time is being determined. Hopefully everyone should be assembled at the hotel by 8 at the lateest .... really don't want to wait at the hotel for 3 hours ....
