Radio removal for iPod Aux cable

I am a proud 2 day old owner of my new 08 Black Mica GT Speed3 - with NAV - factory installed Sirius.
Traded in an 01 Pathfinder LE for this lil pocket rocket - WoW. I am in love.

First thing I do when I leave the dealership, is head to the nearest BestBuy to get the aux cable for my iPod. I'm not too fond of satellite radio.

I open the center console, insert the cable, press Aux - notta. Then I notice the sticker inside the armrest, and am unable to to use both at the same time without the switch.

Searched these forums since I got home yesterda, and haven't been able to find a decent write up/how to on removing the stock radio to access the cable and switch out the sirius connector with the aux connector.

I've been reading on some threads about purchasing the Ford Radio Tools and using those to remove the console. I looked briefly for the holes that the tools would go into, but can't seem to find them. Do I have to remove the plastics surrounding the radio to remove it?

I'm tempted to raise hell with my dealer. Stating that this was a selling point for me and to pay 300 bucks parts/labor for a switch that I won't plan on using is out of the question for me. But if the radio removal and cable swap is as simple as people say, I'd be interested in doing it alone.

Just need some good, precise direction, my fellow MS3rs.

Thanks in advance.

Open the glove box. Carefully pull on the trim strip that goes across the top of the glove box to the radio. It will come off with much persuasion and no tools. Now you will see the two screws holding the radio in place. When these are removed, the radio just pulls out.

To add to what Rotus esplain'd, you'll find the aux plug up high behind the radio tied/taped out of the way. Just unplug the Sirius, (cable with about 10-14 wires or so) and plug in the aux cable (similar configuration). I mention the location because I had a hard time finding it when I installed my switch.

Thank to all those who have replied.
Got it working this morning! Now time to fill up the iPod!. :)

BTW - for others if they need some guidance, check here for pics on removal.
