RActive Intake Installed

In order to prevent scratching, I just wrapped it with some rubber to make it as a cushion from that brake solenoid. And keeping an eye on it, it works fine for me. No more scratches and with just one bracket connected to the spare bolt near the battery.
It's not the scratch I'm worrying about. it's the brake solenoid, whenever you press your brake, that's when intake tube is hitting brack solenoid. if that breaks then that's big problem.

Isn't most CAI or SRI have the same set-up near the solenoid? They too might be hitting it somehow. But I know the Injen CAI had a rubber tubing on that bend. I don't wanna go CAI yet as of now.

it's the ebay and ractive intake that is very close to brake solenoid.
AEM and Injen and K&N doesn't have any those kind of issues.

I did try to reposition the whole setup and got like more than an inch or maybe two, would that help? But would still retain my rubber cushions just in case.

don't try to put too much force to mount whole setup, it will break some of bolts attached to brackets. I don't know what and how long rubber cushion will prevent those issues but, I would like to see the pics.
if you want to, get ebay CAI, they also comes with rubber tube and they are cheap.
but you don't know what will happen if you keep using it, or maybe nothing.
i'm just letting you know there's few chances those problems might occur.
it's safe and money saving to be cautious about this matter.
it's your call :)

Thanks Bijou-MP5. I will try to get some pictures and see if that helps.
ards, if you can take pics while you press brake pedal and see if tube is hitting brake solenoid or not.

I'm the only one around so I can't take pictures with the brakes pressed. But here are the ones I've took. And I've miscalculated, I thought I could have that inch of space but it looks like barely making half an inch.

Sno,

How's that Forza header working out? Did you see much of an increase in power or driveability after installing it? Any other details about it you can provide would be cool, as I'm thinking of buying one as well.

Thanks!

The combination of an intake and header is amazing. Letting this engine breath! It flows in and so much better. Its got more bite in its growl, read "little more louder, sounds more powerful". But i can feel it across most of the powerband. In fact my throttle feels a lot more touchy now than before. The header is working great! I'd recommend it to anyone.
