i saw on a dyno sheet in the dyno sectikon that our cars stock run like 18:1 a/f until they hit like 3500, then they hit like 9:1? wouldnt that be running pretty lean?

maybe im reading something wrong... but thats not important...

so here is wher eim at...

install this, no foulers needed... the CEL will eventually come on... but all i ahve to do is reset it everytime... eventually ill probably want to get a bung put in behind the 2nd cat... after that ill be just dandy...

im glad i bumped this thread... i know alot more than i did last ngiht... ha

14/1 is optimum I beleve. 9/1 is very rich.

Basically the 2nd o2 sensor is behind the first cat stock, its only purpose is to confirm the Cat is working.

If you remove the Cat (With a header install) And relocate the 2nd o2 sensor BEHIND the 2nd Cat, it will NOT give you a CEL ever, because the o2 sensor only recognizes its behind a working Cat so all is well.

You will throw a CEL while the o2 sensor is Un-plugged (It will have to be unpulged untill you install the second bung as you said it wont be at the same time as the header install, you will only get a Cel untill your relocate the o2 sensor, Just keep disconecting the negative battery cable for 5 min and tap the brakes to reset the ECU, that will clear the CEL when it comes.
When the o2 sensor is re lodcated and you have cleared the CEL, it shouldnt come back.

In between when you install the headers and when you get the o2 sensor relocated you should get a CEL arround 150miles.

You will want to re-locate the o2 sensor ASAP to get all the benifit from the header.

When the ECU is reset it takes it arround 300klm to re-adjust itself, its kinda in learning mode. Once it gets in the Grove the car runs much better and its very noticeable, I was suprised to say the least.

Are you assuming your running overly rich because of a dirty exhaust tip?

Yes. it is blackened basically instantly when I drive the car. there's so much sooty carbon buildup in my entire exhaust system it's gross.

Big Diff when the CEL comes on. I noticed the gas go down FAST before I put the non-fouler on and then go back to normal after (It takes a little more gas then before but nothing like when the CELwas on). Also the car is MUCH quicker after a few hundred klicks with No CEL after a ECU reset.

Also people with A/F guages have confirmed the Car runs rich when the CEL for the missing cat comes on. Dont you have one?

Nope...don't notice it. The A/F reads a little bit more rich..but not a big difference. CEL doesn't affect my mileage at all. Weird huh.

Get that bung welded in as soon as you get the header. This way, you can do the install and the o2 sensor move in one shot. No more messing around with it later on.

Thats weird, I thought I wouldnt see much of an impact so I rode with it instead of resetting it when it poped up, That week was the most expecsive week on Gas I even had with this car. I literally lost a Bar a hour, or about a half tank every 3 hours.

Also that slight diff in A/F richness makes her slugish compared to without I noticed there was more Pep, and It WOWed me. (Haha I like to make up words)
