Are the AWR and racingmazda.com headers emission legal? I know the AWR replaces the front cat..but...are they worth getting?

they are not CARB legal but right now if you dont live in california and get spot checks i guess youll be fine.

Could you install the header yourself without the EGR work done and be able to drive the car to an exhaust shop to have them weld up the EGR connection? Or would the car not run properly?

hello all,

i am in negotiations with ric at racingmazda.com to see if i can get a group buy on a prefabricated mx-6 header so that it will be a direct bolt on to our proteges. here's the thread: we need at least 10 people who are willing to go in on this and he'll start cranking them out.
