racepipe/mid-pipe question

so I ordered the corksport from PG, hopefully it arrives soon. I also ordered a Cobb intake which I'll probably install first. can't wait!

Zim That is a good start. Do you have any reputable tuners in your area? You might want to start the interviews now, because it is just a matter of time before the tune. It happens to the best of us. Let us know how you make out. I assume you will install your self or with buds?

What do you mean "it's only a matter of time before the tune". My car is stock and I plan on doing mods to it over the next few months. I guess I'm in the dark about the tune. Sorry for the stupid question

the CS install is pretty simple and straight forward. i did up having to buy longer bolts, so you might want to buy those ahead of time before installing. i am sure more information on this is around the forums somewhere.

yeah the bolts they include suck, lol. If you bought their DP and CBE I think their bolts/stock ones would work, the mid pipe just messes it all up. I think they just assumed the same bolts would work that they used for the DP/CBE combo...but hte MP flanges are thicker so they aren't long enough. Home Depot fixed the problem though.

Not stupid , as you start to seek performance gains and add more engine mods you will reach a point that you will need some control over your computer. This would be to take full advantage of Engine mods which could include a low resistance exhaust. You might have noticed folks are using or waiting for certain companies release of piggy back systems and also are trying to control voltages from sensors and such. I was trying to be a little funny. did not work. When some people ,me, start to add performance parts it seems my list gets longer not shorter Sorry Lewis

hardware

so what bolts we should use when instaling midpipe to stock dp and cbe?

You should call Corksport as some hardware supplied was too short. Derrick has passed this on to the tech group and it might be corrected by now. But it might have been test pipe to catback. otherwise all hardware is re used or supplied. good luck

My main goal is to get A corksport complete TBE system a 3.25 TMIC , a cobb SRI and a rear motor mount. and maybe this AP everyone is talking about but I think that' s about it.
