Questions on intercooler sizing..

I'm thinking of doing a custom FMIC on my MSP, and saw these intercolers on ebay. Anyone know if they are a good size for our cars? They sell 2 different sizes. The smaller is 21x9x3 and the larger one is 24x12x3. Thanks for any info you can share.

Search this site, and you should be able to track down the dimensions/pics of the SPOOL intercooler and the ION intercooler. They are two different sizes, so it should give you an idea of what you should aim for.

The 2nd one looks like it might be the perfect size, but I'd be kind of skeptical about spending a lot of $$ on a no name intercooler. the 2nd one might be a little wide, i didnt read any specs but if its to wide you will have to loose your fog lights.

EDIT: i just noticed you have a yellow msp.. hmmm you could put a pretty wide IC in without the fogs..

They seem to be going for less than $200, so the price is right. I'm a machinist, so fabricating the brackets and piping won't be a problem. I did a search for intercooler sizing, but didn't see anything on the spool or ion sizes. Then again, I didn't read every post, but I was hoping someone might know what size they are off hand.

Hmmm, and Tracy isn't too far from me...Hard pipes would be a nice addition to my car Let me know if you do this. I'd love to see your work, and maybe you could help me out with some piping or an intake someday after you get your stuff finished..
