Just wondering what the cx-5 with the manual trans revs at in 6th gear when going 60/70/80 mph? I tried searching but couldn't find anything specific.

Maybe because your question is not specific? I mean, can you clarify what gear you are asking about?
For example, I think 70mph in 5th gear is 3000rpm, and that drops to 2800rpm if you're in 6th gear.

If you clarify the question, I can look at the tach when I am going home this evening from work. I drive FL turnpike in the evenings and since Florida is pretty flat I should be able to get you an accurate answer.

I was wondering what rpm is the cx-5 in 6th gear going 60/70/80. And thanks, I appreciate it

While I don't have the exact numbers, the info above is right. The engine is neither bogged down nor revving high at highway speeds (65-75 around here).

Or wait for the diesel to reach your shores and give your wrist a holiday.

40 mph 1100 rpm
50 mph 1400 rpm
60 mph 1700 rpm
70 mph 2000 rpm
80 mph 2200 rpm
90 mph 2500 rpm
100mph 2900 rpm
115mph 3400 rpm

It's not happening even though I wish it would. Mazda's been saying diesel for over 2 years and nothing to show for it. On the fat chance it does appear, it won't be a manual which is what I want.

I've never been a fan of diesels. I like a "rev happy" powerband, plus this will be my wife's daily, I seriously doubt she would want a diesel vehicle. I convinced her to get the manual, I dont think I can push it much more. (thumb)

Does the 6 come in diesel? Its a really good looking car, very rare here, where as the CX 5 is getting more common but not too much. Mazda 6 is also quite expensive here for some reason.

A bit trafficky on my drive home but it looked like 2300rpm for 60mph and around 2750 for 70rpm (all in 6th gear)
