question for local daytona-ians

Are cops really hard or prejudice against people w/ loud exhausts?

I am moving there soon, and was thinking about getting an aftermarket exhaust for teh miata....

i go to daytona several times a year (only about a 2.5hour drive) they usually don't mind too much. They are only pricks during spring break.

yea when I was there on 4/1-4/3 the cops had shut down most of a1a and had numerous cars pulled over...

Well, Daytona is about to be a lot less fun. Tuner Bash will not be taking place anymore and the mayor is trying to find a way to get rid of Bike Week and Black College Reunion. They want to make Daytona Beach into a quiet, wholesome, family-based town.

Yep. It'll defenitely take awhile. But one way to get things moving in that direction is to crack down on modified vehicles.

what the hell, why don't they just tear down the speedway while they are at it.

bike week will never leave daytona...the mayor will have his head on a spit b4 that will ever happen. nothing like having a million+ bikers after your ass!

I dont see why they would do that... especially if Daytona depends on tourists to survive...
