Protge321's Turbo Build

That last piece of the hot pipe is gonna have to be trimmed, thats way high lol. Lookin great dude

seems that i may finally get some time, swap is happening in a week or 2. should i change the plugs out with the turbo going in? any little things i should know about before it happens let me know, thanks. :D

i'd ccheck everything.. new oil, tranny oil, coolant, brake pads, brrake lines. brake fluid, double check all your vacs make sure there connected. last thing u want is to over boost and blow you s*** up.. def change out your plugs basically do a whole maintanance on the car.. u dont gotta necessarily change everything but check it and make sure its all topped off and what not ;) good luck

OoOoOo I'm excited to see it! lol
I should be another 2 to 3 weeks away from my install. Two proteges going turbo the same month, we have to be breaking laws haha

this came out of the brake booster..

what is it, and should i put it in somewhere along with the vacuum block?

lookin good man next time im in burque we gotta cruise it up

yea man for sure.

so i got the turbo in and its honestly very disappointing.. im not sure if something is wrong but the car hardly pulls. im only reading 2-4psi on the boost gauge. it seems to be at its max around 5300rpm. its extremely hesitant when i open the throttle up, the boost seems to be absent, the BOV isnt even functioning. i can hear the turbo spooling up but as it gets louder the car isn't accelerating like it should. im not sure whats going on.. the car has a little oil blow by but i wouldn't think a bad ring would cause such a cut in power. any input on this would be great. thanks.

i will also mention that the picture with the connections on the IM is pointing out that i had to switch the VIC with the VTCS connection because the vacuum nipple broke off the VICS and was leaking therefor not opening it properly i assumed, i figured this work work because the VTCS are removed.

as you can see in the video it pulls 6psi throughout 1st gear.. 2nd gear gets to 5ish then drops to 2 and i didnt let off the throttle and same in third.. what could this be? im having a hard to understanding how it pulls hard in 1st gear but spikes to 5 then s**** out to 2-3 in 2nd-5th.

check valve on the bov? dont think ive seen that before but i dont know much about turbo builds

looks like a clean install though good job

i checked all connections and all the vacuum lines and nothing jumped out at me.

could it be the WGA? it just seems to be boosting to 3ish psi.. the WGA in the setup is stock and pretty old. i would think the cause of boost amount would be what controls it.

if u unhook the wga, and go out and get on it, NOT ALL THE WAY, just enough to see if it makes a difference and if its boosting normal, its the wga.
