hey guys i've been a fan of the PR% ever i since its first came out, and now that 18 and goin off to school next year i figured i'd finally get my favorite ride.

my question is just of your opinion of this PR5 and exactly what questions should i ask or things i should get checked out.
here it is

it's a 2002
100k miles
1 owner
apparently it has aem intake from i sticker i saw on the car but i didn't have alot of time when i first went to check it out so i'm not fully sure.

one more thing i heard this from someone but is it true the back wheels turn slightly also?

your help is appreciated (boom07)

The back wheels turn just as fast as the front wheels unless you are doing a burn out. Then the front tires will turn faster. ;)

To answer your question (if I reading it right), the P5 doesn't have 4 wheel steering.

100K on a 2002 isn't bad. I have 96K on my 2003.

It appears to be stock height. has painted calipers, window tint, a different exhaust. With out pictures under the hood can't tell if it has aem intake or not. Previous owner could be a poser and just put the sticker on the car.

Its an autotragic...

You loose a full 2.5 seconds off the 0-60 time by going to a stick...

I guess its fine otherwise- but the p5 is slow enough with a manual. I shudder at the thought of driving an automatic version. Definetly high miles though. My 2002 p5 hasnt hit 60k yet- and thats with putting 20k on in the last 10 months.

me too!!! i have a 2002 mp5 with just over 50,000 miles on it...
Mine's apporaching 50K very quickly :D.

As far as 0-60...a 5spd would be faster if you shift hard. I think I would be walking by now if I drove like that frequently.

i picked mine up for $8500 with 51k....i has the sport auto - is it a full auto, or the tip-tronic?

100K and it's only an '02!? Whoa.

Too high of mileage for me. My Grand Am is a 99, and only has 103K on it...and that's driving an hour one way several times a week back when I was dating my (now) wife...and a trip out to Tulsa, and an hour round trip commute every day for work...and...

Call me conservative, but I don't like that mileage on a car that "young."

Eh, the mileage is fine in relation to the car being worth what they're asking.

But what you definately want to look at is the 105K mile service. This is a big one that replaces the timing belt and water pump and whatnot. It's not cheap! and you definately want that already done if your buying it that close to the mark.

yeah sounds like a good price I got mine with 60K on it for 10.5K, now I just hit 70K. Love the car, people say it's slow but honestly something is always going to be slower them something else. For probably your first car this will be a great car for ya!
