does anyone know where I can get a decent header for the P5 decently priced, i looked into wagner but after reading numerous threads about his business and unhappy customers i dont wanna mess with that and protegegarage is on backorder until next century and if you have one for sale drop me a PM...thanks guys

They only have one on there and its for a protege...

the ONLY difference between the protege exhaust and the protege5 exhaust are the rear axel back portion - everything else is the same. so, when you see something listed that will fit a protege, chances are it will also fit the protege5. in the case of the racing mazda header, it fits both.

mx6/626/ford probe headers will not work on the protege. trust me. i've owned both cars and had headers on both at some point.

The RacingMazda Protege 5 app looks the same because they are pretty much the same. They take the 626 manifold and reweld the o2 bung to a new position so it fits the Proteges.

racing mazda modifies the probe/mx6 header to fit the protege - he relocates the egr bung, and includes a "test pipe" to mount up to the stock exhaust
