Problem with Reverse!! Help! Concerned greatly!

I just came back from racing over seas and my car has been sitting parked in my garage for a good month and a half and now yesterday I went out last night to go out. I started to put it in reserve and it started to grind while I was pushing it into place for reverse with the clutch still engaged. It sounds like the gear was catching already even while the clutch was still engaged.
What could be the problem? Any advice? Ideas?
This has gotten me really worried

With the ignition off, see if it goes into reverse ok without clutch engaged. If it does, go ahead put it in reverse, and then engage clutch, and start. See if you hear anything grinding, if not back it out slowly, take it for a spin, and let it warm up... Rinse, Lather, repeat...

On a level surface, fully depress the clutch pedal and start your car while in gear (1st or reverse). If your car wants to move with the clutch pedal down, you may have a problem with the hydraulic system.

If with the clutch in you can still feel the gears grinding, more than likely that means the disc is not fully disengaged from the flywheel and there's still some transfer of power. I'd take it in and have it checked out.
