problem rear brakes

hi i just installed new rear pads on my tribute and when i try to fit the drum over it it wont fit it gets stuck half way i force it on and the wheel wont turn so i took them off and installed the old ones back and the drum goes on easy i am wonderin can the drums be warped what so any help would be appriciated i even adjusted cylinders all the way back still same pls help

Drums can wear, but I'm not sure that your new bads would cause the drum to stick...I could be wrong, but is there an adjustment that might need to happen? If not could mean the drum is worn, if all else fails, buy a drum, see if it fights right, and if it don't take it back...

I'm assuming you mean shoes not pads.The first thing I would look at is the Ebrake adjustment.If it's not backed off all the way you won't be able to get the drums on with new shoes.The drums would have to be really out of round not to fit with new shoes and the ebrake backed off.....Just my 2cents worth.
