Problem after 5500 RPM in the P5

(flame2) ok now where is the little smiley with the fire extinguisher. Not blaming anyone in here but can we get back on topic. This just became a huge (piss) contest. Each person in this case was a percentage right on one of the many issues that came up. It just depends on what you think and beleive. Oh well hopefully everyone can kiss and make up.

Now as far as the little green clip. It is going to stay right where it is. I am not going to throw another CEL. And I sure as hell don't want to go back to my dealership. The mazda tech should be here at the end of the month and so I really want him to see everything my car is doing. I will post what he finds out about the car though and if in deed my VICS was messed up or not.

Its not illegal if it won't hold up in court, and this wouldn't.

Its not a matter of holding peopes hands. It trying to get members the help they asked for. As a Mod you are expected to help people out in your forums and if you not going to do that don't post.

The kick panels are as you see them in my other post. I got them to that state at the end of the summer and haven't had time to get back to them. I am probably getting new speakers too shortly so those like so many other panels will end up in the trash. Unless someone wants them with the speakers.

If the material is indeed copyrighted as it says on Edwin's website, yes it would hold up in court. It has in the past, and this site could be in some serious trouble if the case was adjudicated in Edwin's favor.

I'm not against helping people out, I do it all the time. Some people just help others in different ways.

back on topic guys. If there was a smiley beating a dead horse I would use it . Sorry but don't want to see this thread get locked or placed in flame wars. Everyone seems to agree that this may not have been handled the best way by all parties involved so just take what you have learned and move on.

Not taking sides but getting tired of seeing new posts in here thinking that they have to do with this topic and then it is just more of this same argument.

BTW CHECK MY IDLE PROBLEMS THREAD IN THE P5 FORUM. I had my dealer call me today which is 1 day after posting I was having similiar problems and wanted to know if what I was experiencing was the VICS switch being screwed up. Well when the dealer calls me today he tells me that He just got off of the Special Mazda Tech Hotline and that they just ordered a SWITCH???? for my car to fix my idle problem. May just be a weird coincidence but I don't think so as they know I am on here and know what my name is on here. Not sure if they are the same parts but just seems like really weird timing. For more info on what I am talking about see my other thread. Hell start the argument in there it may give it more exposure so I can get an answer.

yes i said it. I'm not talking about anyone in particular, but if someone just cuts and pastes all his answers to help people, they are going to falsely think he knows what he is talking about. That is when misinformation is spread. Someone will ask him about something else that he can't find an answer to....he will make up some bulls*** reply and post it and people will believe him.

too much misinformation on the internet....it sucks and its hard to find real answers to anything.

I can understand both points regarding this argument. One side is pissed that Edwin (who by the way is perhaps the most knowledgeable person in all the protege forums combined) used a condescending manner of asking why his info was not cited. On the other side Edwin is ticked that his research was not properly cited. I know that this is just a freakin message forum that shares ideas but perhaps we should show a little common courtesy for fellow owners when citing there info.

I know that it is 3rd party info but it is his research that he has used to mold his own text...somewhat like utilizing several other sources and citing them in a bibliography of a thesis or paper that one has written out of other peoples info.

I am aware that Edwin has been known for having a bad attitude
on the "other" forum but for the most part he has been very polite on this side of the pond.

Sorry again to take this thread off track once more but we should all just have a good time and share info and knowledge in a enjoyable and civil manner. That is one of our excellent traits on this forum. So lets just all have a group hug

I'm really surprised in how there are 3 worthless pages of this thread just simply because someone felt like they are "special" and not having to follow instructions and continue to dispute the fact that they are. No, I don't demand anything from anyone. I do this for no money and on my own time. I knew this kind of thing would happen; people copy and pasting will just boost their own image misleading people to think they knew their stuff (fortunately, there was the words "taken from another forum"-- which was still incorrect, but at least credit was not taken for himself), that is why I wrote that legal statement in the first place.. which is promently displayed in red text on the main page of my site. I don't expect much, but I appreciate some gratitude from time to time, like some of you have. Thank you for that.

all vacuum lines was fine.. vacuum diaphragm actuator was fine... solenoid was not being triggered for whatever reason... he reset the ECU and that fixed it

NO, that was mostly my fualt.
