I'll check on getting the cargo tray when we pick it up. It is black on black. Still haven't seen it yet !
Living in Columbus, I sent emails out to everyone in Ohio to get quotes. Steve at Montrose Mazda in Cleveland took $7000 off immediately about 3 weeks ago. Ricart in Columbus begrudgingly matced their price which is only $5 above the cost with the Mazda loaylty included.
Ricart then only offered $2750 for my trade. Sent a number of videos and pictures to Steve of our trade-in and was very honest about the condition and issues -
they offered $4250 for it.
Steve then emailed me earlier this week to wait until Sunday to drive up so I could get an additional $500 President's Day bonus off. That's when I added in the accessories and installation ($200) for a net additional cost of around $300. They matched the lowest prices of everything others had posted on this Forum.
Provided there are no issues with the trade when I get up there, we should be set. I think they have 5 more 2012s up there and they are dealing!
The best prices I've found on Mazda OEM parts and accessories is from MedCenter Mazda in Pelham (Birmingham), Alabama. They have dedicated website for their online parts sales and they are awesome to deal with. I placed an order for a new remote and a few other items for my 2006 Mazda3 yesterday afternoon at 3:15pm and it was shipped and I had a UPS tracking number less than two hours later! I've been doing business with them for five or six years and never had any issues. They also do FREE UPS Ground Shipping on all orders over $100, so that's a nice perk on top of the discounted pricing. Here's their website-

Even if you don't order from them, you can print off the items you want and have your dealer match their pricing! That's what I did when we bought our 2012 CX-9. I had to fight to get everything installed for free, labor was going to cost almost $300! They wouldn't budge on the labor cost at all, so I had to get 'firm' with them! We were hours into the deal, the splash guards were already installed and the roof rack was in progress. I told them either they installed everything for free or we were walking out the door. The sales manager came over and started b.s.-ing and I walked out the door....before I made it ten steps out the door, the sales manager came running to catch me and said, "Okay, you win". I'm the grandson of a car dealer and a legendary negotiator/haggler, so I can play their games better than they can! =)
I wanted the Rear Bumper Guard but they didn't have one in stock on the day I bought my CX-9. I ended up ordering it and installing it myself and it looks amazing, even on my Pearl White. I saw it on a Stormy Blue and on a Brilliant Black (like yours) on another dealer's lot and it really pops on the darker colors- some serious "bling" according to my 13-year old nephew! =)
The dealer really pissed me off over my trade-in and almost lost the sale over it. I had a 2007 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer in excellent condition but with 134k miles on it. I went to Carmax a few doors down from the Mazda dealership first and got a written offer to buy it for $7500. It was getting late by the time we went to Mazda and we got to the super-low purchase price within a few minutes. The used car manager said he would give $7500 for my Explorer but only if I would buy the CX-9 that night! I hadn't even mentioned the Carmax offer, but I told him if he could pay $7500 for my trade that night, he could do the same when/if I returned in the next few days. My salesman said he wasn't so sure about that. I told them if they wanted to sell a car, they certainly would!
That was the night before Tuesday night before Thanksgiving. When I returned the next afternoon, he would only do $7250 for the trade and would NOT budge. I asked for the General Manager, told him that he had offer $7500 the night before and Carmax has offered the same. If he wanted to sell me a car, he would give me $7500 for the trade. He nodded and wrote in $7500....and that Used Car Manager was beyond pissed off, I loved it! =)
In my head, I was doing backflips because I wasn't sure if I could even get $7k for it. But it wasn't a matter of principle, not the $250, that made me determined to get $7500 for it! It probably cost them quite a bit to pack it up and ship it back to HELL where it belongs...God I hated that damn Explorer!!! It had more problems over the five years I owned than all of my vehicles from the previous 20 years combined! But I'll stop talking about it now, otherwise I'll start shaking and need a few Valium...
If your deal falls thru for some reason, my dealership here in Georgia has seven 2012 CX-9s left and two of them are Grand Touring AWD, Black with Sand interior and Bose/Moonroof & NAV packages. One lists for $40,345 and they're selling it for $30,145! AWD models can be a tough sell here in Hotlanta, so it's odd to find two 2012s at the same dealer...but it also makes them motivated to get rid of them...it's a great time to be in the market for a new CX-9 if you're okay with a 2012!
