Cx-7

I was under the impression the only differences between the MS motors and the CX-7's were that the inlet to the turbo on the cx was reduced a little. Well, that and the obvious ecu differences.

I'm glad this thread was started as I myself thought about making a cx-7 into a kind of poor mans cayenne. If Rhyes Millen (I know I spelled his name wrong) can swap a built ms-6 driveline with the manual tranny into a cx-7...why can't someone else?

As a former srt-4 owner, I have seen/read alot of flamers roasting people for their choices. That might have something to do with the average srt-4 owners age but in my opinion...different isn't wrong...it's just different.

Just my .02

If I had to take an educated guess.....FWD would be better for a build. Don't know that the AWD system on the CX7 could take the extra stress from more power. Then again, don't know if the FWD could either!(nervous)

FWD...

Yes, if you wish to occupy an early grave.

Even the non-modded CX-7, FWD and F/AWD has TC firmware that automatically, PRE-EMPTIVELY, dethrottles the engine in lower range gears and even mid-range gears in accelerating TIGHT turns.

Loss of front traction resulting from application of TOO much engine torque for conditions, even highly tractive conditions, can too quickly result in a serious accident and injuries due to loss of directional control, no lateral stearing control with the driven wheels spinning freely.
