nice, you should get a cosmos and come to the 7 days meeting (the Kansai one is one in Hyogo I believe) in July!

I live in Hyogo! It's a large prefecture but nothing is too far for a Mazda meet!

Where can I get more information on this event?

http://www.reprideone.com is the 7 days site (this is the fujinomiya meet)....I dont know the kansai info, but i will look into it!

edit: Tokyo area one is at 筑波サーキット Tsukuba circuit...still looking for kansai details

ya for sure...as for the question on LS1 swaps...I haven't seen any, I have seen it in a mag once, so they do know of it but really rare i would say. Most seven drivers here are rotary fanatics so they wouldn't go non-rotary. I have seen 20Bs of course!

It is a pretty common swap here. All said and done it'll only be about 5k to get it done. At my track day at laguna seca there was an LS1 FD. The car didn't have enough brakes

Ya, I don't think money is the major concern among the rotary/rx-7 guys here. Most of the serious guysspend well over 5k in engine mods/upgrades, etc. on the rotary. I think its mostly a preference thing.

Also remember, it's Japan. An LS1 engine is rare compared to a rotary (vis versa being true in North America), so it probably would not be cheap.

wow though. wow.. Did you get the steering wheel restitched or reskinned for that look? It looks a lot like the Mazdaspeed Miata wheel but I didn't think they had perforated leather on them.

That car is incredible though, and of course the pictures are very nicely done too
