would it not be possible to have custom trans parts made? such as straight cut gears? again where cubic money comes into play

at that point you might as well do a nissan gtr drivetrain, with all custom mounts holding the rear end and trans in place and a custom bellhousing to bolt to the rotary.

One of my biggest pet peeves among the overall Mazda crowd is the desire to do something over the top, but to use the same poor quality parts that came out of the car in the first place. If they do upgrade to something containing better quality parts, then the technology behind it is so dated that they're really not getting the gains that they could by going more modern. The MSP that I saw with the MZR swap gave me hope. Those engines, with just a few simple bolt ons can produce the same or more power to the wheels as a stock MSP. Slap a turbo kit on the MZR, and you have power on stock internals that an FS could only dream of. I know some people have said "Why not get the DISI?" Well... the regular MZR can make more power, more easily than the DISI engine can when using something like the Tri-Point kit. Not saying the DISI motor is bad by any means... just not ignoring the full potential of other engines. A real good example of newer engines with more potential is when you look at the MX-5's. Stock MSM is around 178 crank hp. Stock NC is around 166 hp, but just as quick because it's lighter.

Anyway, off my soapbox. Let's see some more awesome pics of nice cars!

Well, sounds like I'll make sure I do not bring my long sleeve shirts. Haha.
