Post The Best Pictures of Your Mazda

If it isn't obvious, these 3 pics were taken on the green Idiot Box setting. Also, came straight from the camera w/o any editing. Still learning the settings on the camera

One thing I notice right away is that your focus is clearly not set on the car. The second pic its set on the trees above the car, first pic is focused on something else...get my drift?

Im not sure what camera you are using, but even on the green auto setting with a half squeeze of the capture button you can refocus the picture. Or do it the manual way if your camera allows it

It's a Canon XT. And in the green box, it autofocuses. I have since set the autofocus to just the center box. That should fix that. I also picked up the idiots guide to the canon Xt, so, hopefully i can learn a thing or two

Any constructive crit. is appreciated and actually wanted!

Oh, and the other reason they don't look as nice is due to stupid photobucket's compression. I uploaded the full highres image and they scaled them down. I have also since created a flickr account

Ya I noticed that too. Pics are overexposed too. Not only is the actual focus off, but the car isn't grabbing the attention in those pics. On the third, all the attention is on the orange reflectors on the post. In the second, the frist thing you notice is the top of the trees, because that's where all the color is. You have an awesome camera, take your time learning all it's features. As for the focus, when you have it on AF and set to the center box, just point the camera at the car, hold down the shutter halfway, so the camera focuses on your car, then shift the camera to whatever you want, while still holding the shutter down halfway. That way, it holds that focus. Post picture editting can fix alot of that stuff though. You can drop the exposure in the shots, bring a bit more color into the photo, and shift the attention over to the car.
