+1 agree to that! Hyundai has been making very good cars for some time.

what about the 4cyl 6?? my old roomate bought one and loves it still... may not be 30mpg but should be around 26+ with mostly highway and the 5door 6 is sexay!!!
-pixy- said:My mom has an 06 corolla le, she loves it. The corolla is a decent car but very plain. It is still an option but I am sure that as soon as he gets in one he will hate it. When I was looking at cars I was concidering a Matrix, I sat in one and decided that was not the car for me. I didn't even think it was worth a test drive. I like a car with a nice interior, I spend almost 3 hours a day in my car, so I have to be comfy and happy in it. Still I think the 3 and the tc are at the top of his list, but he really needs to get in them, maybe Monday we can do the dealership strip![]()

Chevy Cobalt SS
Nissan Altima 2.5
Honda Accord
Kia?
Just throwing out more possibilities. It looks like you're into imports though.
I think the little 110 hp cars (Fit, Versa, Yaris) are extremely practical. If we all wanted the most bang for our buck, we'd all be buying those instead of Mazda3. =) Unfortunately, we live in the "bigger is better" society. Also, I think the engine would be screaming for long periods, driving at 80mph.
Nick's sister is planning to get a Fit, it's so cute.RacerXGirl said:The Fit is awesome...you can tote llamas and sheep in it (per their ads).
tsunami said:my gf's is an 04 S model and she really did like it until she got in my 3 (she would have prefered the sedan over the hatch that i have but its the same thing inside) and where she has had warranty issues i haven't had any (first model year and everything)
not sure on what you guys need for space in your car or your budget but what about the bigger 4cyl cars accord/camry/mazda6??? what about used? does it have to be new? you could pick up a nice volvo or maybe a prius or civic hybrid that will get you the mpg you are looking for?
