Yes and no, My neon used the same setup and there is just enuf movement in the bushing to alow the arm to move as per normal.xelderx said:I'm really curious to see how the rear bushing on the front LCA is done. It doesn't work the same way as the front bushing. The pivot point is perpendicular to the movement of the arm. A poly bushing would restrict the movement of the arm completely.

tap'n'die said:well, i ordered a set of the control arm bushings front and rear (this means spf2453K and spf2454K and only involve the front A arms)
I did mention in the order comments that you guys would like a group buy.
So i am pioneering a little and venturing into the unknown. I promise to keep you posted here and then maybe start a new thread with install pics and driver's seat review?
NVP5White said:Thanks for the commitment to report back. Very few have shown interest in making bushings for the Protege...don't exactly know why that is since its not a real expensive part to develop or stock.
Anyway, my front end is starting to feel like a loose conglomeration of parts rather then a front end so I'm excited to how this experiment ends.

tap'n'die said:Well guys i haven't pooped in your hands... I will keep my word and keep you posted.
I emailed global this week because i hadn't heard from them since i discussed fitment and gave the ok to ship with no guarantee that they would work (you'd think someone in that company knows for sure)
Anyway, it seems that they were missing some numbers from my credit card, go figure. It would have been nice of them to contact me. So... they are shipping now or next week whatever, they are coming from AUS so it could take a while still but it will get done and i will tell the tale.

Nah they are clean... Just taking forever and a half to get here!
Here's a pic of my superpro b15 caster offset bushings to make the wait more unbearable.(nailbyt)
I am not sure how this will come out on your pc displays, but these are beautifully machined bushings complete with crosshatch patterns inside the friction areas to retain grease. Nice stuff!
