Pllleeease Mazda, give us a V6 with a manual tranny!!!

For the love of god, please give us a 6 speed with the V-6

Its bad enough you took our precious Mazda6 and made it over weight and kinda funky looking, then took away our Mazdaspeed 6, then teased us with a possible AWD Mazda6 but alas, that never happened either.

For a company that thrives on having the heart of a sports car in every vehicle, how can you not have your cars biggest engine, the one that all sports car nuts are going to want, with a autotragic tranny only????

I can get a Honda Accord with a six speed......a HONDA.....you hear me???? boring accord vs Cool Mazda????

I was trying to find some specs on it actually. My father has a 2009 Accord coupe, v6, red, ground effects, 18's, spoiler, loaded with every option, but it's an auto. Feels pretty slow compared to my MS6. He keeps asking me if I want to buy it. But it's auto. Then I seen an grey one, identical to his, but 6spd for sale....wondered how much faster they could be. I know one thing, his is a lot better on gas then mine due to their eco mode.

god they ruined that car. That being said, I see one here, solid black with aftermarket wheels on it, and it's got the sport package or whatever its called, and it actually looks pretty good dressed up.

+1, I drove an 06 Accord V6 6mt, I've driven plenty of auto V6 accords... and I was impressed with the manual, very quick for what it is

And as a side note, if you ever see an Accord V6, but the V6 badge is Red instead of black letters, thats a 6mt....

As far as I am concerned, Mazda lost its Zoom-Zoom cred when the new 6 came out. I mean, come on...it's like another version of the Camry for crying out loud. The previous gen 6s looked like hawtness and were fun to drive...this one has gained weight, lost the style edge, and no manual tranny with the v6...it's all I am asking. I was a Ford guy forever, and what initially drew me to Mazdas was the spread of manuals across the model and engine spectrum, plus well-balanced and fun to drive suspensions. This makes me sad every time I see a new 6...so much for zoom-zoom.

You will never see a 6 speed MTX on the new 6. Mazda is going after the Honda and Camry buyer, that is older and has more disposable income..... Their focus has shifted to the new 3's as far as the "tuner" market as evidenced by Tri-Point using it in 2010 in the Speed World Challenge Touring Car.

Mazda6 is whack! Went to the website.... brought up the Mazda6. I was like "Yeah, Yeah, Sweet!". Looked at the MS3 online and was like "Its ok?!?!". Went to the local dealer.... No Stick for the Mazda6? The Muffler embedded chrome tips are fake? Cost more than the MS3? I was in love with the Mazda6 for all of about 5mins, and then got divorced and Married me a MS3!

This is true, just recently drove one here locally - of course the only V6 coupe w/ a 6speed in town - and yeah, its quick as hell. Vtec feels awesome in the newer Honda's, especially being able to chirp the tires with ease going into 3rd, and it's got great throttle response all throughout the gears. It is easily one of my top 3 Honda's that i'd ever buy/invest on. My #1 is for sure the Mugen Edition Si - those are cheap/fun to drive and look awesome out of the factory. I don't knock Honda one bit, they do their thing and Mazda does theirs... I can't be too biased because i'm a CAR enthusiast, not just a MAZDA enthusiast. Can't knock good product, especially when they smoke you on the streets haha. JK, don't get butt-hurt!

But when it comes to buying an MS3 over a more expensive Mazda6 - thats just gay, I would much rather have a MS6, but if they don't come in manual... why the hell would I wanna buy one? Personally, I would actually rather own an RX8 than an MS3 or MS6 - only because i'm a coupe kind of guy, not into 4 doors unless its a WRX/STi... but again, it does suck for you MS3/6 humpers! BWAHAHAHA...... jk guys.

Never said it didn't - but its still called a coupe. Mini-suicide doors don't hurt my feelings, just more room to throw my junk IMO, thats why I love my MX6 - don't gotta escort anybody. Unless you're a hot chick, then there's room (hump)

I've gotta say too - the new RX8's look effing AMAZING!!! Twin spark is nice and all but damn, when are they gonna just put a turbo/twin turbo on that thing?! It doesn't make sense that they bring back the rotary, but not the turbos... (rant)

And i'm a also a late bloomer on the MS3/MS6 fascination - I never was much into the 3/6's period, until I actually rode in a V6 model 6, and it changed everything for me. I have always loved Mazda, but just wasn't in tune with the band-wagon. So the manny transmission doesn't come in the V6 for the Mazda6? Does it come with any of the MS's?

RX8'S are indeed gorgeous....they just need a "real" engine

all Mazdaspeeds are manuals, newer ones all 6 speeds
