.. And after God knows how long, I finally got the new rims on my MSP! 18" Motegi DP6 gunmetal wheels with a polished lip wrapped in 215/35/18 Kumho ECSTA MX tires. I definitely need to lower my car now -- but, y'know, one step at a time.

The pictures aren't of the best quality. The weather is s*** and it was already about 6pm by the time I took the photos, so the lighting isn't too good. Just wanted to give peeps an idea, tho', and get some feedback.

very hawt. feel any change in the speed/accel. of the car w/ bigger wheels?

.. I'll let y'know when I actually have a chance to TRY it. I couldn't get ANYWHERE to test things out without being stuck in traffic, since I didn't finish having the wheels put on till about 5:30pm. I was so pissed, haha. But yeah, as soon as I get the chance to open the car up, I'll definitely let you know.

And thanks for the props, guys! :D

Looks sweet as hell. Any idea on wheel weight and such?

.. Dunno about the weight of each wheel/tire combo, but I know that each individual wheel is 17 lbs. Yum.

how do those ecsta mxs feel ? comment on ride quality, noise, grip, etc. please :)
Like I said, haven't had the chance to really try 'em out yet. But I'll definitely post up my opinions/thoughts on everything as soon as I get the chance. As in tomorrow, probably, haha.

is the car dropped?
Nope .. not YET. But it definitely will be. I see some Goldlines or Eibach Sportlines in the near future. :D

the more I look, the more I think you should have gotten 40 series tires

your new tires are smaller overall than your stockies, 215/40 would have been a lot closer if you could find that size

pimpness

jflo: i had the same tires on my mp3, size and all. i loved them, little to no road nouse, awesome grip in all directions (pulled a 2.1 60 at the track on them) they seem to wear very well but i only had a chance to put about 4000 miles on the tires before i wrecked the car.

rush, rims look noice.

215/40 would rub the struts and inner fenderwells

.. If I didn't want to drop my car, you're right, I probably should've gone with a 40 series tire. Thing is, if I want to drop and not rub -- 35 series was the only way to go. And I <3 drop. :D

215/45-17s don't - why would 215/40-18s? they're very close in size
