Little Background on the kit!

Oversized T3 Garret Turbo, 2.5" downpipe, autometer a/f & boost guage, begi log style manifold, begi RRFPR, & Cold Air Intake.

I am currently boostin at 6psi...and have plans to lower the boost...and when spring comes around install an intercooler!

another question..internal or external wastegate? (with an internal wastegate...you are a bit more prone to boost spikes....so even more reason to lower that PSI)

even though its 20-40...its not going to influence the air temperature heading into the engine... that much.....

7psi is not bad for non intercooled. just watch your EGTs and....mostly when quick boosting, the A/F

I have just experienced ping/knock today @ night when downshifting.

On a serious note, lower your boost really soon. If you heard knock/ping, that is not a good sign. If it's loud enough to hear, then you can cause damage. Also, you are more prone to kill your engine at cooler temps with more air, then at moderate temps (like 70-90 F). Just looking out bro.

It's an internal waste gate..It hasn't been pinging..or knocking...

Thanks guys..I am going to lower down the boost...
I have been checking the boost guage..every time i hit boost! It's nice and smooth...alwayz going to 7psi..never higher! The a/f guage alwayz reads rich...when on boost...except in 5th gear..with tends to lean out a little bit..but still in the lit bit of orange-lots of green(rich)!

Also which way do i turn the wastegate to lower the boost?

most of the time you cannot hear the ping/knock.
It happened to me today @ high rpms, I felt it in the gas pedal, and confirmed by the lean A/F ratio plus the loss of power

....thanks for the feedback that the AWR mounts give, I was able to determine a dangerous situation and eventually, save my engine, Im very sure it was knock and it was scary: a very vague unusual vibration, like a vtec or a rev limiter is what i felt.

so...take it easy, you can blow your engine.

I must recomend you an inline fuel pump, @7psi is the limit with your current fuel flow.

Yeah..The most i will boost is 7psi..will lower to 4psi..soon..just need someone to help me out!

cool kit, im non-intercooled running 6 psi for about 2 months now, but my auto tranny is ******, so i cant really get on it till i put in the manual tranny sitting in my apartment hah, have you took it to the track yet acid?
