Really dumb that we don't get that model in North America.....would've been wayyyy more succesful than ours....

as much as i agree that the overseas mazda6 is the way to go, it depends on your definition of "successful." the new us-market mazda6 has enjoyed an increase of sales each month so far in 2010, although the more economical mazda3 has stolen its spotlight in sales numbers.

might the overseas mazda6 based on ford's global platform perform better? its hard to say because americans want bigger cars. just ask accord and camry, they're not complaining. the last time ford tried importing one of their global platforms we got the contour and the jaguar x-type both of which did not go over well at all so i can understand mazda treading carefully and going after honda/toyota's formula.

Thanks for your comments!!!

The us version is great but the euro/japannese looks more agressive and its beautifull in my opinion, BUT the US version is bigger and has got the V6 engine... This is the most important point, the engine.

Perfect Mazda 6: euro appearence and the us engine... OMG!! Mazda, change the rules now!!

Thanks guys!!!

170hp 2.5 l.

For a 2.5 l is a low powerfull...but in europe its the max. And in diesel engines:

2.2 crtd 185 hp with less aceleration...

The 2.5 170hp is the best option, but in Europe the people only want diesel engines... Because the petrol is expensive... In Spain 65 l= 85$ aprox. The diesel is a little cheap.

I definitely have always liked the overseas models better than the USDM. But oh well.

Why is it that the import versions or the originals are way more cooler than the domestic. You would think the US would try to one up the other, but so far itis a total fail. Hate to see what happens to the Focus RS if it ever comes to the states. Car looks sweet though man. Love the styling.
