Well, after some research done by Amaff, it turns out that the 5 speed gearbox and 6 speed gearbox bellhousings have different mounting points for the starter. This means that the 5 speed cars and 6 speed cars have transmission specific starters. But... you can mix and match, you just can't use all 3 mounting points.

The top doesn't seal right because the latches need to be adjusted, and it leaks in the rain. Hooray. Another ******* thing to fix.
I'll probably post every one of my daily exploits with the car in here. Perhaps I can also have a sense of humor and turn it into a humorous short story. Something like "Why Phen Should Never Buy A Modded Car" or "The Chronicles of Phen Phail" or how about "I ******* hate this car"
Those all sound great, don't they? Should be nominated for a ******* Pulitzer Prize by the time I get rid of it.

Phen has one of those, my bumper is all scratched because the genius who tried to put the plate on messed it up. I might get one if I have it fixed.
Thanks for the updates Josh. Not only is the car in good hands (Josh took me for a quick tour around the shop and I got to see the level of repairs done on BMWs... which is by no means easy), but the work is getting done MUCH quicker than last time. Hell, even the first wreck, the shop had the car for about 3 weeks.

It's all ready for paint, and I think they should be painting it today, I'll throw it together tomorrow, and it should be ready for delivery Wed or Thur at the latest, barring any unusual circumstances. I had to have them order new clips for the belt molding on the door, all but one broke when taking it off.
