I have 200 dollars. What are the most cost effective, that is quality v. price set of hids i can get for my protege. Being that there are so many cheap ones out, its a confusing and nervewracking thing to shop for.

DDM tuning. its like 50 bucks shipped with a lifetime warranty. boom, done.
its a cheap set but whos gonna know the difference?

Send a PM to Protephile. Ask him about the TechOne HID kit he sells. I ran one in mine for years and it was awesome -- and his customer service is second to none.

alright so i was thinking this prior but this confirms it. DDM tuning im thinking h4 bulbs 35 watt high/los im thinking no wireing harness that just seems like overkill. Is this the right combination?

If you order the hi/lo h4 kit it will already come with the wiring harness to get power directly from the battery. No need to order one separately.

Just pick the 35 watt h4 bulb add the $10 or whatever it is option for hi/lo and your all set. Don't forget to choose colour temp too.

do you have the set with high beams? a lot of people say theyre a waste of money since theyre not xenon filaments

I dont have a set but if your asking me I really dont know. I have always heard "they are bright enough you dont need a high" but Its whatever haha.

Go to your local audio shop and ask around I picked up my 9004 kit from one here. Acutal Bi-xenon on the combo light bs. Cost 200 but came with warranty. You do get what you pay for
