Painting my stock rims

Hey people...

I just wanna know what kind of paint should i use to paint my rims...
I wanna change my rims but i don't have enough money

well i used duplicolors wheel paint wich was $3 a can, but you should still be able to use regular paint i guess. if you do paint them put i clear coat on them...

do they last for a long long time ? they are expensive.

well it all depends on how much you want to spend... cause i did mine back in may and they still look nice, although powdercoating is better quality the average joe could not tell the difference.of course you can always touch them up if you scarpe them or whatever....

If you paint your wheels correctly it is better than powdercoating because it will actually match. Powdercoating is usually better quality in the long run but not by much. I painted my 18's yellow and they match perfectly, if i would've powdercoated them they would never have matched the car's yellow. Also, i can get you a brand new set of 17's with brand new tires mounted and balanced for $600, so i would save up and just do that, much better deal

well when i got my rims powdercoated , the shop had a book of like all the colors you could imagine

i went with mirror black

and i am very happy with the end result

(the other color that i had in mind was gunmetal, but decided not to get them because everyone is starting to get them color rims.)
