i have the same problem. i have shiny green and the mirrors are hazy and flat

it look like crap ... like a ford plastic mirror
some one have any ideas

I have a vivid yellow p5 and I have the same problem. I don't know a permanent fix, but I did put wax them with mother's wax and they shined like the rest of the car. It doesn't last long, but it works. Good luck. I'm subbin' for any better ideas.

thx ill try it today

mines flat black too, and i wax it too, i say spray paint it glossy black a couple times and just use a couple clear coats.

No, I wax my P5 monthly and I too have the same problem. It's not completely the owners fault on this one, it's mazdas crappy 2 stage paints!

Mine's red and gets waxed twice a month and I have the same problem. Mine's getting that ashy look to it. :(

I have a yellow p5 as well and despite a billion layers of wax , the mirrors and the latch cover are dull and don't match the rest of the car. Conveniently DGM makes carbon fiber covers for both, inconveniently it'd be a $182 'fix'.

pop them suckers off and get them re-painted. I'm getting the front/rear bumpers redone.
if i repaint it , it will make the same thing in a year or so .. the mirror will get dull and the rest of the car will stay shinny .. .so its not worth it ... i think the best idea i eard till now i the carbon fiber mirror cover .. (blackp5)

not if you paint them right, mazda uses a crappy 2 stage paint. get them sprayed and cleared twice...you're set!

mines red and my drivers mirror looks like its got ash all over the top of it, theres almost no red left, like somethin dissolved the paint. and ive got a few spots runnin down my passenger side skirt that are the same way but the ones on the skirt look like drops. idk, nothin fixes it, only fix i can think of is to get it repainted (which im gonna have done)

^ id have to agree. ill have them stripped, primed, and painted. im not just gonna paint over.

thx to share ur problemes , would be nice to have some pictures especially redpr5 skirt , im curious
ill put some picture of my mirror and my fender bender last month, tomorow night .

here a picture of my shinny car and my dull mirror
and a pic of my poor fender ... fkn idiot that cant drive ~!
