P5s what is your idle at ?

Just wondering, because ever since I did the TB Coolant Bypass, it seems that my Idle has dropped significantly, and just yesterday, at a light, when I stepped on the gas, it felt like my car was about to stall. So I was wondering if maybe I should nudge my idle up a bit. (and if anyone has a how-to on adjusting the idle speed, it would be appreciated.)

thanks ahead for the info.

you sure you got everything back in place?

i did the mod and noticed no difference in idle.

ive actually found this mod to be not quite useful. i mean, it might help for a few minutes of everyday driving, but the whole engine gets heatsoaked pretty easily heating up the tb and the intake pipe.

yeah... I spliced the hoses together with a two headed brass barb, abd secured them with the clips. Made sure to plug the TB with Vacuum caps too.

For me, this tweak actually made a noticeable butt-dyno difference, but remember, I'm also in vegas in constant 105+ degree days, so any lil difference matters. Even if it's a panacea, I'm satisfied, just because of what a pain in the ass it was to get to that lower hose with my big ass Paws lol.

what's your idle at right now, with the lines back in place, bro? mine hovers at about 700rpm and if I remember correctly, I was a little bit closer to 1k before.

K, so I'm not tripping TOO hard .... *whew*... thanks guys

Mine is around 5-600. Been thinking about raising it to 700 to make the idle smoother.

I've always been at 600-700 (while stock). I eventually added a K&N typhoon and Racing Beat catback...still no change -600-700.

K, I'm just on crack.. thanks for the verification, guys

750 is spec for emissions testing. Mine is dead-on. I reset it after installing overbored TB.

yes, this mod only really works with phenolic spacers too... all it does without them is delay heat soak
