It's complete BS -- IIRC, it's just a resistor that'll screw up your A/F ratio and will damage your engine over time, regardless of what the moron selling it says.

first of all am not new to forums. i searched for protege chip nothing came up. instead of being an @ss all you had to was answer the question. for everyone else thanks for the help.

honestly, i never noticed it...when I'm scrolling down a page reading posts the only part of a person's sig i notice is the picture, and byu comparison, my sig pic is prolly in the top 75% of size, but by no means the biggest.
