Love the EDM rear bumper (thumb)

yeah it messes up the look of the P5 rear fenders though, I like how the continue on both bumpers of the P5 nicely and tie into the car's pseudo front lip and pseudo rear lip.

03.5 MSP racing harts (17") with 215/45 falken fk-451's, dropped on Ion sport springs and tokico illuminas. with the drop and tire size, it just 'fits' IMHO. no rolling, no rubbing but then again i've never really loaded her up after the drop... about 2 fingers' width from the top of the tire to the wheel well lip.

17" is the perfect size for the P5, and 215/45 is a very nice tire size; 205/40 is too thin, both height and width, for my liking.

So since they are 17 X 7s,the hub doesn't need to be machined like 17 X 7.5 rims right?

progressive springs all around (goldlines for example) with tokico HPs = very uncomfortable. I think it's because the initial springrate is so low on them. I can't wait to move to stiffer shocks to make my ride more comfortable (yeah, weird, I know).

This is interesting, I haven't heard anyone say that before. What about the progressive/hp combo is uncomfortable?

Do you think that running something linear, like the Tein S-Tech's would be more comfortable than the Eibach Pro-Kit? I'm trying to decide between the Tein's and the Eibach's to put on with a set of Tokico HP's. I'm looking for daily driver comfort, along with better handling.

Me too! But the reality is you can't really have both. Of the springs you mentioned, if you want comfort, then go with Eibach; you want performance, go with Tein.

Just playing around (put 18 pegasus R on from a volvo), but it looks amazing with the rx8 and that blue is realllly cool!!!

aww too bad they're just a slightly different bolt pattern than the Protege5. I know, I've tried :D

Alright, I ordered some 17x7's w/ a 42mm offset and 215/40/17 tires. I plan on lowering w/ eibach's and tokico's. I'll post pics when I'm done and see if the fenders will need to be rolled at all.
