p5 newbie stereo Q's (adding amp)

I can't take the stock stereo setup in my 2002 P5 anymore so I want to keep the stock head unit but add a 4ch amp and new speakers. Got a couple of questions though...

I have the single cd + cassette deck, does it have pre-amp outs on it, or will I need to run the speaker lines to my amp?

How do I get the stereo out to access the wires in back?

I've seen alot of info on installing speakers into the doors around here, thats awesome! There is a tonn of great info, thanks.

There are no pre-amp outs on the factory radio so you're best bet is to use an amp with speaker level inputs but if you have to use an amp that has only pre-amp inputs you can get line level converters that will knock the speaker level lines down to pre-amp level.

Get 2 sets of ford radio removale tools and the radio should come out no problem.
