P5=bmw ?????

This morning, 18 hours after taking my new baby home (see Avatar), someone approached me at the grocery store and asked if my P5 is a new BMW model.

I can already tell this is going to be a fun experience.

LOL. The only thing I can say is that there is an Audi (I think it's an Audi) that looks like the P5, and maybe they confused Audi w/ Bimmer? Dunno. Either way, welcome.

never heard of someone thinking it was a BMW, now they alot of people mistaken it for the SportCross though. Same design team and all.

i think by the time the design team got to the rear-end of the SportCross they had had a few too many drinks...by looks alone the P5 has it beat by a mile. (now if only we had the power.....)

Seriously though, I feel like the P5 is a uber-IS 300 SportCross than anything else.....less a few hundred horses of course...

Yup, I have been confused for a Scooby and a Lexus. I take it as a compliment, that people confuse our cars with those that cost alot a more.

when i irst got my p5 i was always getting freaked out when i would drive by someone and they would do a compete head turn to look at my car. it takes some getting used to..............especially after my last car was a saturn .............

The only acronym that I know it stands for is what Air Force pilots call the B-52. No, I don't think (ie I hope not) it stands for me.

On a mountain bike forum that I frequent someone once called me Buffalo Bob and then someone shorterned it and it stuck. Yeah, I could have come up with something more P5 like for this forum but I have so many logins and passwords these days, why not use something I know.

That's because they probably want to know why they are being blinded by the awful glare off the 8000k lights. Ugh.

I believe that BMW is coming out with a new 2 series next year that resembles the P5 in profile.
