Um... I request. It would be nice to see the final installed product and your impressions on performance.

Hell, yeah! Gonna put em up or should we PM you? We want to know about sound and b-dyno impressions at different speeds and RPMs, anything. If you took any photos during the install, I'd like to see where the filter sits. CPE says they made it as high as possible in the fender. Also, any snags or other issues with install would be nice to know about. One thing I heard was you have to remove some plastic piece that directs air to the stock snorkel?

Congrats on being first install on the production version!

DITTO ... love to see the pics and your driving impressions, a sound clip would be cool too if you can get one THANKS!!!(yippy)

More Power!!!!!!!

Good news,

I am going to take it a step further for everyone. I just found out I have unlimited access to a new Mustang 2 wheel dyno via a kid at the tech. My goal is to do a baseline with pics and video before and after install.

This way we get the unadvertised numbers with atmosphere, hood up/down, fan info, etc. will be included.

I may need advice with regard to posting videos via youtube or a link on one of these posts because I see that some of the videos work well and others do not.

For the future, I believe we are all going to need owner feedback on bolt-on compatability between Cobb, CP-E, Mazdaspeed, and so forth. I know CP-E plans on a FMIC fo this car and Cobb sounds like their upgrades will differ slightly and I will try to report on these impressions as well and any other feedback is necessary to see what exactly we can fit under the hood at any point in time.

On the scary side,

Fedex says my intake hasn't moved from Beltsville, MD for several days and I am about ready to go nuts for package reception!!! When I get the kit I will take a Photo of it. Sounds nerdy but may be useful to interested buyers at the pre-plunge stage.

P.S. any Fox Valley Sports Car club members in here or North East Sport Bike members, if so see you on the track in 07.

Wicked Black 03 R6
United Gray 06 GTI
Black 06 IS250 AWD
and of course Black 07 Speed3

Laters,

Pictures please

I ordered directly through cp-e and received the first lot of air intakes and an intro price of $308. Will ship between now and 2/1/07. Call CP-E, as they will not take orders on the Internet until demand regulates.

P.S. Turbo back exhaust is on the test car and completed, ready to produce.

Picks of install available on request and long term impressions.

Could you post some pix on this forum? Thanks.

Mazda Rep Comments On 2007 Mazdaspeed Catalog

Oh yeah I forgot,

The Mazda rep came in to train us on the CX-9 and I asked him about the 07 mazdaspeed catalog...................He said April.

We also discussed the comment that was made regarding the next mazdaspeed factory project at NAIAS in Detroit. They generally eluded to a Mazdaspeed RX-8.

I will have to see it to believe it.

That's just silly, almost as silly as a Mazdaspeed MPV or 5. Sure, put the powerful engine in, make the handling tauter, make the looks a lot cooler. In fact, they did a great job on the minivan that's on the Mazda Japan website. But nothing that high up / heavy should be called a Mazdaspeed vehicle.
