I currently looking at these two that if anyone have any info would be greatly appreciated.
Red Stuff BP and Hawk Hps BP.

I live in New York so the weather changes year round. im wondering:

1. how do they stop during cold weather/ before they are warmed up
2. Do they squeak alot cause i am stuck in traffic for the second part of the day.

any info would be greatly appreciated!

any performance pad tends to squeak. also depends on how you bed them/break them in.

i use hawk HPS for track & street and love them. good grip, but takes a bit more pressure than stock pads (the case with most aftermarkets).
they do squeak under light usage. Heat wise, i find they work just fine in cold situations, but than again, california dont get nearly as cold as NY so idk for sure in your case... lol Overall they handle heat build up of track days really well and dont fade much at all. In all honesty these arent necessarily made for track, but due to the materials are a good middle ground between track & street.

as for Red Stuff, i know ppl swear by the EBC pads and their performance. good brand too. Keep in mind the Red Stuff one is not made for performance usage persay. It is mainly for "aggressive street driving", low dust, low noise, and CAN handle regular hard breaking. But longevity for the heat that track usage builds i do not believe they are made for. the slightly harder material does mean they will squeak and they say they can sometimes take up to 1000 miles to fully bed so they will probly squeak a lot in that phase. If you want EBC pads for track usage, go with Yellow Stuff.

thanks alot seems like red stuff are better off for me since i am not looking to go on a track that much and its mostly "aggressive street driving" i need them for!

For your application I would recommend Axxis Ultimates (http://www.axxisbrakes.com/ult.html). They will serve you well in all weather conditions and are relatively good about noise and dust for a performance pad. I was very disappointed in Hawk HPS compared to the Carbotech offerings, and I wouldn't consider EBC based on second-hand experience at track days. One big gotcha with the Hawk HPS is that they didn't have squeal indicators so you have to monitor wear visually to avoid damaging your rotors.
